Wake up you metabolism, skin, digestion and mood - FAST
1 whole organic lemon, washed and quartered (including peel)
1-inch knob fresh ginger, peeled
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (high-phenolic is ideal)
3 cups filtered water
1–2 tablespoons raw honey (optional)
A dash of cinnamon for topping (optional)
Lemons are rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that supports collagen production and helps fight free radical damage—two major contributors to aging skin. Vitamin C brightens the complexion, reduces inflammation, and supports healthy immune function. Using the whole lemon including the peel provides extra phytonutrients and essential oils that support detoxification and digestion.
Ginger is loaded with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds like gingerol. It supports digestion, eases bloating, boosts circulation, and helps stabilize blood sugar. For skin, ginger helps improve elasticity, stimulates collagen production, and reduces inflammation that contributes to puffiness or dullness.
High-phenolic EVOO supports hormone balance, decreases inflammation, and helps your body absorb fat-soluble nutrients. It also nourishes skin from the inside out by strengthening the skin barrier and supporting healthy cell regeneration. A little healthy fat first thing in the morning may also help stabilize blood sugar and reduce mid-morning cravings.
Raw honey has antibacterial and antiviral benefits, supports gut health with prebiotics, and adds a gentle sweetness. It also contains antioxidants that support glowing skin. (Skip if you’re doing strict low-carb or fasting.)
Cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and fight oxidative stress—making it a great skin-support ingredient. It pairs beautifully with lemon and ginger for added warmth and flavor.
Add the quartered lemon, peeled ginger, filtered water, EVOO, and honey (if using) to a high-speed blender.
Blend on high for 1–2 minutes until completely smooth and emulsified.
Pour through a fine-mesh strainer or nut milk bag into a mason jar or bowl. Discard the pulp.
Transfer the liquid to an airtight container.
Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Pour a 2–4 oz shot and top with cinnamon if desired.
Shake well before each use.
If you want an even stronger anti-inflammatory morning elixir, add:
1 teaspoon fresh turmeric (or ¼ teaspoon ground)
A pinch of black pepper
The pepper + EVOO dramatically improve curcumin absorption.
